Bruce Taylor was admitted as a solicitor in 1994 and Barrister in 2012.  Bruce has a broad commercial practice with particular interests in equity and corporations law, employment disputes and in family law. He regularly appears in Sydney courts and Tribunals, and regularly works with firms and clients from the New England, Central and North Coast regions. He has appeared as an advocate in various NSW and NT jurisdictions in commercial litigation, employment, OH&S and criminal matters (acting for the DPP, Legal Aid and NAAJA). He has also acted as a procurement and Governance consultant to the Royal Australian Air Force; was appointed Statutory Manager of the Groote Eylandt Aboriginal Trust by the NT Attorney General; was a Councilor for the Law Society of the Northern Territory, and is a nationally accredited Mediator.

Bruce accepts briefs to advise and appear in commercial and employment contract disputes, equity matters including estate and probate, and disputes under the Family Law Act. He has recently appeared in the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, and has advised and appeared in coronial inquiries. Bruce is based in Newcastle and also has chambers at Hunter Street Chambers.

Hernan Pintos-Lopez has been at the bar since 2012.  His practice covers a broad range of areas including: succession and family provision; commercial litigation and class actions; royal commissions, inquiries and coronial inquests; equity; and administrative law.

As a solicitor with King & Wood Mallesons from 2009 to 2012, Hernan acted in international commercial arbitrations and commercial litigation in the Supreme Court of NSW.

In 2008, Hernan was awarded the University Medal for Law by the University of NSW.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Hernan worked for nearly fifteen years in the government, business and community sectors. During his career, he has worked at the highest levels of government, including as Chief of Staff to a senior NSW Cabinet Minister and as an adviser to the Commonwealth Attorney-General and the Minister for Justice. He has also worked as a policy adviser in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and as a consultant speechwriter for the Chief Executive of Optus.

Sharna Clemmett balances a resolute awareness of the needs of clients and instructing solicitors with her ultimate remit; to provide consistently outstanding verbal and written advocacy, technical advice, and case leadership. Sharna was called to the Bar in 2012. She has since developed a strong practice in Commercial Law, Equity, Wills and Estates, Property, Consumer Law, Proceeds of Crime and Insolvency.

Sharna first discovered her gift for advocacy at university. It was her ability to distil arguments into well-articulated and precise submissions that led to her success in mooting, and to pursue a career as an advocate.

From February 2008 to December 2011, Sharna practised in Commercial Litigation and Insolvency at Sparke Helmore Lawyers. Her role involved advising on, and acting in relation to, disputes and other matters in the areas of real property, trusts, contracts, fraud, partnership disputes, large and complex liquidation, applications to set aside statutory demands, winding up applications, receivership, voluntary administration, general insolvency and court procedure.

In her first year as an admitted solicitor, Sharna worked as Tipstaff to the Hon RW White in the Equity Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Sharna is also a volunteer with the Mosman Music Club and has a great interest in painting, ocean kayaking, and playing the violin.
